If you have received a Nespresso pod coffee machine or are considering purchasing one, you may be wondering how to make your favourite coffees with milk, like a Cappuccino or a Latte.
Some brands of pod coffee machines allow you to make coffees with milk, like Cappuccinos, by having two separate pods, one for the coffee and one containing a milk powder to create the frothy milk.
Nespresso does not do it like that. Instead you use fresh milk.
But not all Nespresso coffee machines can make coffees with milk. It’s an optional extra.
Basically you have two options for coffees with milk. Either buy a Nespresso coffee machine with the built-in milk attachment, usually these machines mention ‘milk’ in their name. Or for cheaper Nespresso machines without the built-in milk system you can buy the separate Aeroccino device, also made by Nespresso.
The Aeroccino is essentially a fancy milk heater and frother. When you turn it on, it heats your milk. And if you attach the little frother, it will simultaneously froth the hot milk. Perfect for your Cappuccino.
How to make Cappuccino with Nespresso Aeroccino
Start by heating and frothing your milk in the Nespresso Aeroccino.
If you take sugar in your coffee, add it to the cappuccino cup first. This will help it dissolve in the cup when the coffee and milk are added later without spoiling the frothy top by stirring later.
With your Nespresso coffee machine pour a standard measure of your preferred pod coffee into the cappuccino cup.
Fill the cappuccino cup to the top with the heated, frothed milk.
Sprinkle cocoa over the top if you’re a chocolate lover.
Sit back and enjoy!
